...and because I'm really impatient about getting new material heard by others, I'm leaking out one of the recordings that's going into our new CD - which should be completed by the end of August.

Note - This is as about as mellow as it gets for us on this CD. For all those interested the mp3 is here:

Feel free to comment of course.

I like the tune, the lyrics are very lighthearted and fun, eh?

    Bass playing is... meh.

(just kidding - nice tone and growl, I like it alot.)

So, if this is the slowest song on the album... What's the "stairway" wedding song sound like?

Sounds great! I like your timing. Your fills kinda sound like the same kind of stuff I like to play. I'm not saying you're not original...just that you ripped off my style. Our tones are pretty different though. I'm sure you're working on copying me there too though. :spit:

  6. Whoa Meshuggah to this. Man what a mood switch

    Sounds pretty sweet though.

I'm diggin' your tone in this though, nice and growly, but good and clear.

Will mixed too. Top notch Mr. Nerve.

Thanks for the listen and all the good words. I'm pretty happy with the way things have been going in the studio. I AM also especially happy about the bass tone. For once it's actually what I was going for - the sound of my MM pushing my 25 yr. old Peavey combo to it's limits. It's the first time a producer has actually caught that in the way that I wanted him to.

Nice! I agree with what others have said. Great bass tone and overall a very interesting blend of "live" edgy-ness and polish in the production.

Heading back to the studio now. Just wanted to bump this and add that I'd appreciate ALL criticisms, negative as well. Regarding the recording at least, I guess if you simply don't like the song it's pointless to post that - but feel free to if you so desire.

This has been decided on as a final mix for this song, but technically it's not. If you'll hear something that we're not (or don't hear something we think we do), please point it out cuz we can fiddle with all the songs till it's printed on the CD. Just like to get other objective takes on it.

Thanks again to all those taking the time to listen.

Hey Joe, I like the song. I'd like the drums with a little more err... cut? punch? bite? to them. Other than that, which is super minor, it sounds great.
