Beefed up Essex?

  2. if you want an inexpensive 6er, i would get one that is already a good bass and then make some small modifications if need be. I would suggest a Cort Curbow for tighter spacing or an Ibanez BTB406 for wider spacing. I prefer the Cort Curbow (well i have one so im a bit biased, but i wouldnt buy a bass that sucked, so i can assure you, it doesnt).
  3. BTW, the Cort comes stock with a Bartolini pickup.
  4. Eskimo, do a search of the archives for Essex basses and read what's been said about them. They've garnered some very favorable reviews (me included) but that question has been asked nearly a dozen times in the last 3 months.

    By the way, Kurt from Rondo Music is now posting here at TB. They are the importers of the Essex line and he can answer more detailed question about the product.
