beggining practice rifffs(i think)

    i just got my bass and im in self study i asked on of my friends friend(he plays allthe isntruments) who was down here for the weekend. He told me to work on this on the bottem string
    8-11-10-13 and then add different stuf into it like
    888-11|11|11-10|10|10-13|13|13
    etc, i have pretty much mastered it if anyone wants to give me some other ideas on what to practice just post here thanks!!

    I wouldn't concentrate too much on practising riffs "blindly", unless for warm-up or basic technique training.

    Try practising basic arpeggios and try to utilize them, e.g. in a blues.
    It's pretty useless practicing stuff without knowing WHAT you play and how you can use it.

  3. How bout 1 3 5 6 flat7 flat7 6 5 3 1 from g then repeat at c then g then 1 3 5 6 on c then 1 3 5 6 on g then rinse lather and repeat.;)
