Beginner Amp/Cab Question

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by DraVenSF, Dec 9, 2003.

  1. I got a beginner question...

I have an SWR 15" 160w Bass Combo, and I was wondering...if i was to want to get a cabinet would it have to be an SWR cabinet? Or can I add another kind of cab to it?

    Thanks in advance
  2. as long as the cab is the same amount of ohm's as the amp it will be fine.

Im a newbie when it comes to amps because i only own a B100r and never looked into anything further but, if i wanted to buy a cab, i really could just hook it up to the ampeg and it would make it louder?

Hey DraVenSF....if you decide to add another cabinet to your SWR, make sure it is rated at 8ohms, no less.

Figjam....you can not add another cabinet to the B100-R you have.
