  2. save your money, i generally go by the rule of buying things once (didnt know any better about the amp rig when i bought it, but i make due) and that just doesnt scream quality to me...

    Non poerwed means passive, right? I know there's DOD passive also. But honestly I don't understand what is the difference between passive and active.
     
  5. passive just routes the signal, no boost, no gain, active requires a power source and can add a bit of boost, better for something like microphones and non-powerd pickups (like the kind you place in the soundhole of an acoustic guitar.) since i assume this is going in the signal path of your bass, which is already being powered by your amp, then you dont really have a need for an active unit...
