Behringer pedals and DC input jack question

Discussion in 'Effects [BG]' started by Magneto, Mar 1, 2006.

  1. I'm curious about the exact sized DC jack for powering these. The manual says 2mm, but funny that every jack I seem to find at parts houses are 2.1mm?
Are the Behringers using the same size as the Boss pedals? I tried to find some info on Boss DC jack requirements, and came up short.
I want to build a daisychain cable for my PSU to power 3 pedals..
    Thanks ...

Yes, Boss style fits it. Used it with an actual Boss adapter!

Watch milliamps. Distortions, they work with anything(200-1000 mA).

The octaver, takes 100 mA. Works fine w/200. 300 or over, it buzzes really loudly rendering it unusable.
  4. Hey thanks a bunch for the info. I especially like that onespot adapter. I might get one of those. The multi-pigtail is cool too. I was gonna build my own, but I doubt I could build one for that price.
I'm pretty sure the pedals that will be arriving use the same plug as the BDI21 I currently have, with center post negative. I am currently using a multi-volt adapter to power it and it works ok..

But.. I need to know if the Behringer/Boss pedals use the 2mm or 2.1mm in case I need to order some plugs. Geez, isn't .1 mm a microscopic difference?
