I'm thinking of buying a rack compressor for my bass. I want something cheap, so I thought of behringer. Anyone knows which one is the best for bass: the AUTOCOM PRO MDX1400 or the COMPOSER PRO MDX2200.

    Thanks!

Can't tell which is better, but I can tell you I hated my MDX2200, and I rarely hate effects, especially rack units. I got it going, then all I heard was 'ping ping boom pop' and thought I blew something up. I read the instructions twice, fiddled with every knob for about three days and still couldn't get it to sound right.

I've used a MDX2200 for years in my live rig.
    Quite happy with it.
The SC filter feature is very Bass friendly.

    Never had any problems.
