My singer, henceforth Phil, is looking at branching out and doing a spoken word project, with clean guitar, sparse percussion, and light bass work. Bassically, a 180 from the harcore band we're in now. I might be filling in bass duty for him in the spoken word gig (poetry clubs/open mic nights, ect)...and, frankly, I'm kinda hoping I get the position (which is more along the lines of me telling him I'll fill in that a selective process). It'd be something else. Heck, maybe I could get my own spoken word stuff in too...but that's getting ahead of myself.

    Spoken word band...thoughts?

  2. Good stuff. We mix a little of that into my band.
