    My little story.

So I had just gotten home from school, and wanted to relax and play my bass. I turn on the amp (not very loud) and start playing some random things, and my grandmother walks in my room and tells me to turn it down more or shut it off, because she was "trying to nap."

Has anyone else had this type of problem before? It sure does get at me..

Well, in all fairness... Your grandmother has to live there too, right? I would suggest you get headphones.

We could jam in Joe's Garage
    His mama was screamin'
    His dad was mad
We was playin' the same old song
In the afternoon 'n' sometimes we would
    Play it all night long
It was all we knew, 'n' easy too
So we wouldn't get it wrong
All we did was bend the string like...

You know, my dad yelled at me one time for playing too loud while he was trying to sleep. He was like, "All I could hear was boom, boom, boom last night! Do you think you could practice during the day instead of at night, when I'm trying to sleep? You know, some of us have to go to work!" After he left the room, I looked at my mom with a puzzled look on my face and said, "I didn't even pick my bass up last night!" To this day, we don't know what the hell he was talking about.

    :D :D

Back to your problem. If grandma says it's too loud, don't argue, just turn it down. If the volume's as low as she'll go and grandma still says it's too loud, turn it off.

    Sorry, bro.

Headphones bro... My grandma don't dig the low end eithier.
  7. Looks like you have four basic choices:

    turn it down
    use headphones
practice at a different time or place
    move out

Sorry, jm1, but I don't think you're gonna get much more love than we've seen so far, so I'm gonna close this while the vibe's still nice.

Besides, your question has been answered pretty well at this point.
