When GAS gets in the way

    I bought this:

2012 model, replaced the bridge with an Allparts threaded saddle one (just because I like them), and the BWB pickguard with a dark red tort one ( because... Well, because TORT).

The Designed by Duncan pickups sound good to me, got it strung with flats and I'm playing my derrière off!

Bonuses: 7lbs 3oz. Lightest bass I own. And I'd forgotten how nice a matte finished neck feels.

    Anyway, back to playing :bassist:

Love the colors! Let us know if this does the trick and relieves the gas ;)

Good to know on the weight; The only thing stopping my from slapping a nice neck on my 2005 Affinity is that sucker is a real boat anchor!

PS your link to "when gas gets in the way" got me another like! :hyper:

  4. Still rocking the Squier VM, it's a great bass. The tuners need to be replaced though, the G cloverleaf is loose and creates a nasty vibration - an easy fix with CA glue if that were the only problem, but the chrome is also peeling off 3 of the 4.

I'm now down to 3 basses from 8, so the plan is coming together. One of those 3 is my first bass, so won't be sold, so really only the Hondo P to go!

I'd like to say my playing has got better, but at the very least I'm not wasting so much time lusting after the next bass
