Well here it is...Better than expected. Actually the nicest bass I have ever had in my hands to date. It sounds as good as it looks. It has a very aggressive attack with the dual coils but it is also very versitile. The pups are dead quiet too. Likely weighs in the low 8 lb. range. Perfect balance and playability.

It is always a bit scary ordering a bass that you are stuck with if you don't like it. This undoubtedly will be my main bass. Anyone want to buy a 34" scale MTD 434?

Thats the nicest top I've ever seen (other than Britney Spears of course)

    Whose pickups are they?

Best of luck with your new bass!!

They are Suhr Dual Coils. I believe Brian said he doesn't normally make them. I may be wrong. I tried a Vortex with the same preamp and Aero dual coils pups. That was cool too, but these give me exactly what I had hoped for.

That is SICK! How can you keep something so hideous? I'll do you a favor and trade an Ibanez so you can upgrade. LOL ... Seriously, that is so beautiful it's almost obscene. Talk about Bass PORN! You lucky dawg. It is however missing one string. (sorry ..Envy makes people just plain old *mean*)

As for the MTD I better put this to rest. I have to keep it. I'll put it on "IR" It is #45. It was the only 34" scale made. It is the Eclipse series. Only 49 Eclipse basses were made. I have had a %$&!* load of MTD's but this one is magic. It kills. But the Bene' plays way better.:D

Wow, that is incredible. It is even more beautiful than I thought it might be. I trust it sounds every bit as goods as it looks. I'm glad it found a good home. Make sure you watch your rear view mirror.

    Peace
