Hey Y'all, The combo of the "What are you GASing" and the "F Bass Porn" threads have put me over the edge

I'm getting a new 51 fretless but to ease my budget and Chris' schedule... I'm letting it go to Winter NAMM and be shipped to me after the show. I've got almost 6 months to wait...

The specs are (neck wood is up in the air):
I know Chris has shipped a few smokin' basses this month... and shipped a whole bunch I've never seen!

I'm stoked as well, like James. I have a New SC"B" 4 string which is on order and I can't wait. Its a new body style to the series of the SC's and takes the top section of the SCJ and the regular bottom of the SC (like up above)

Heres the Macc Ebony top and Back that will be on it as well as the stabilized Ziricote finger board. It will have matching Macc Ebony stabilized Wood covers and Knobs!!!

I've been drooling over that one since Brian first released the pre-NAMM production shots!

You said that's mostly scraps you had laying about?
What's the specs on it (wood and electronics)? It looks killer!!!!

  12. Man, these are some nice basses. Hey Brian, what's with those different size knobs on the fretless?

Wow Chris I really love your Flamed Maple SC5!!
    :D :D :D
    Dan

Edit: That is from scraps??? Can I get one built
    from scrap wood too???
    :)

  14. Thanks! I believe Adrian picked out the top for this one. I get SOOOO many comments about how wicked it looks...and sounds. My wife said to keep it just because it does the Marcus thing COLD!!

    Chris,
If you do that with scraps, then blessed are your scraps, young man!!!

You mean the smaller knobs instead of 2 big knobs and 3 small. I decided to go with all small knobs; you will notice the John's also has 5 smaller knobs. I think it looks cleaner. Also check out the new knob layout on the fretless. It will be a new layout we are working on doing for the basses from now on. I'm tired of people complaining about not having food on their plate when it’s obvious they have plenty :D
