I have serious G.A.S. for this Bass. I have only seen pictures. How do they compare to the Lull and Sadowsky's? I am interested in the vintage models. It seems like a great bass for the money.

GREAT bass! i found them a little more aggressive than the basses you mentioned.
But I am biased , I'm a dealer for them..

Check out the user group on the Benavente site at www.benaventeguitars.com

Under files there are some by Neal Bowen and his Vortex along with a number of others. Also there will be Video Clips from NAMM on the Benavente website tonight or tomorrow. There are a number of basses played with the Jazz configuration.

Dude, these basses are the truth! You won't be disappointed! Just like Sadowskys, if you hit a clam, these basses will tell on you! I like that, it makes you play with a cleaner technique.

that vintage vortex has a killer look!!!

is it possible to have it with a 2 band preamp and not 3 band?

    and with a bypassable pre?

    i love passive sound too....

Glad you liked the clip Hman.

Others will be coming soon. This one hasn't been shrunk down yet like the others will be. This is full quality from the Video camera so it take a little longer.

Another thing that might help speed it up for some is to right click the link and "save as" instead of clicking the link for your browser to download. Hope this helps!

they kicked my butt last night (I was up till 4am and non came out usable)! I'm not well versed in video rendering (nor is my little Duron 900 happy about it). I think I've got the formula down for ok quality for the dial-up users and good quality for broadband. It will take me a while thou... it's looking like 2 hours to format each file :(

I'll up them as I go... watch the NAMM page @ www.benaventeguitars.com

 I think I've got the encoding down... 10mb file of Avon Lucas (man can he play!)

Can y'all save/play or stream this and let me know if the quality is ok?

(sorry to be off topic) maybe I'll start a new thread

That's Great sounding. I can tell the difference from the original, but very good and I'm sure people will appreciate the size of it compared to mine posted up higher :)

Those videos make a very strong point in favor of those Benaventes, particularly the first single cut Avon is playing. Wow !
They also make a strong point of how I need to practice...(looking at Avon Lucas  )

    Thanks!

James has worked hard on getting them down sized so people can check them out.

I wish the higher quality was easier to use, because the sound is so much clearer, but unfortunitly we can't. Maybe we will have a highspeed link at some point where people can pull down the high quality version and maybe even full video which runs right at an hour long.

    Thanks
