Just sold my Berg HT-115. Things I loved about this cab:
    Full lows and low mids
    Smooth highs
    Good Mid articulation.

    Things I didn't like:
    Low efficiency
Dark sounding. Would like it to be a little more open sounding.

I probably needed more power but, I'm using a Mesa M-Pulse 360 which i really love.

So how close is the Glock to what I'm looking for:

    More efficient
Not as dark sounding but not bright or harsh
    better mid articulation again smooth
Must have a full low end
Absolutely no boxiness or honk in the mids

    Any info is appreciated.

Thanks for the cab Doug

You've probably already seen it, but the 115 shootout has some good info. Tombowlus loves his HT's and probably knows this cab (and the Glock) better than anyone... I'd PM him if he doesn't chime in here soon. ;)

IMO the Glock Uno deluxe (with tweeter) is a phenomenal cab. For me, it is the only 15 gig I can use alone on a gig and get full tone. While the berg is an awesome cab, I think the glock is a little more full sounding thru the spectrum... Very little....As you mentioned about the efficiency, I can truly use the gig with a 250-300 watt amp and the volume is gig worthy. I have a German model with the volt speakers, can't make a comparison to the US models. Great cab, you can't go wrong

Have you auditioned the newer Mesa powerhouse 15, since you have the M-pulse?

Unfortunately, every Mesa dealer I called has nothing in stock.
I did try one at GC a while ago and thought the lows were kinda spongy sounding. That's why I called around to audition it again.

How do you guys find the German version?
What drivers do the US counterparts use?

Custom made Emminence drivers in the US models. The US model costs about 30-40% less due to the cost of shipping the cabs to the US. Also, the German cabs have a sprayed-on finish, while the US cabs are carpet covered.

I'd love me some Glock stuff one of these days!

Thanks for the info. How would you describe the sound of the Glocks in general?

All I know, is what I hear second hand... sorry. :meh:

    Try this thread.

Haven't had the pleasure of playing through a Glock myself!

The US cabs only use Eminence in the 10" speakers. The 12s are still Volts and so are the 15s. The Volt model PS 15/250 to be exact. I hope this helps. And yes, they are available in 4 or 8 ohms. Love to all! :)

I found out this info as well.
Can someone give me a description on the general tone of these cabs?
ie. warm, cool, bright, dark, muddy, boomy, low mid heavy, bloomy bass?

    Using your words:

    15=Bloomy
12=Warm with a gorgeous midrange. That includes low and high mids
10=Warm and punchy with smooth upper mids.

I wouldn't describe any of them as bright. But I use mine with Glock Bass Art and it's just a nice even and rich sound that works in all my musical situations. Loud rock to solo bass things. Nice

If you read my 1x15 shootout, also linked above (thanks, Speyer!), you have some idea of my thoughts on the matter, but I will add that I would love to try a Glock Uno some day. I have just loved every other Glock cab I have heard (including my 1x15 Tedd).
