Im not a big fan of the carpet that is used on most cabs nowadays. I was first going to use tolex but decided to use warnex color instead. This is a paint manufactured for PA speakers and I rolled it on with a structure roller. It turned out quite good. And I added white piping around the grill just to make it look cool.
    What do you think?

I like anything other than carpet as your gear smells like an ashtray at the end of the night. I can't wait for a complete smoking ban.

Anyway, nice job. The very modern Bergie looks kinda old school.

It´s the stuff that Ampeg, arshall etc use on their cabs. Can be bought where you buy tolex. I attached it with staples into the flat part of the piping and the staples where then bent with a plier on the inside of the grill. Took some time but I think it was worth it.

The carpet came off quite easy but the glue residue was a pain in the...:ninja:

  7. That is sharp looking, and chrome corners to boot! It looks like it was worth the effort.

Looks nice, but I'd be fearful to gig with it and get it bunged up.

I like the Line-X coating, takes a real beating getting to and from gigs and still looks like new. Durable stuff.

  10. looks good man. love the piping and the chrome corners:)

The Line X and the Warnex I used are pretty much the same thing as far as I know.

Now you just have to pop that brand tag off of the grill.

You are already going to get the "hey man, what model is that" comment. You might as well go for the " wow, what kind of cab is that" as well.

It looks very nice though. Great idea and result!
