I'm about to start a quest for a Berg NV cab, but which one. Can anyone tell me the differences between the 3? I've heard that the 215 is the best cab for tube amps, this is gonna be for my 400+. But i also heard that the 610 sounds like vintage SVTs. And the 425 isn't mentioned anywhere near as much as the other 2, any reason why? I pretty much stick to rock, think Tool, Soundgarden, Finger Eleven, or Dredg. I've searched the forums, but I couldn't find any real direct comparisons between the 3. Thanks.

First off, the 610 is the only one still in production. Second, they all sound good with tube amps. The 610 has more present mids, and the 215 is a bit more scooped. The 425 is the best of both worlds.

Sounds to me, with the kind of music you play, the 610 is the way to go. I'd like one of those myself, but can't afford one right now, so I'm building my own. At least they will still fit in the backseat, an 810 won't.
