I emailed Jim Begantino yesterday, telling him about the driver in my EX-112 that got eaten by the bear (and about a kilowatt from my Demeter/PLX rig) in a moment of brain fade on my part at a gig last weekend. He responded within an hour, and the replacement woofer is on the way to me, and my check is in the mail back to him for around half of what I should be paying for it. It amazes me once again how lucky we are in the bass community to deal with guys like Jim and most of the other high end bass industry innovators and atisans. The music industry may suck in general, but I've had consistenly great experiences dealing with bass entrprenours. Aloha, Jonathan
very cool glad to hear things worked out so well for you just keep smokey under control.........i'm still waiting for him to get me one day
Thats great news, Jon. I'm not at all surprised at the great service you received from Jim, he's fantastic. I'm glad everything worked out well, -Art
I have had great experience dealing with Jim too. Ive emailed a few times and had a response within an hour. Great guy!
Jim's been nothing great to me. When my entire rig (HT322, HT212) smoked the big one, he sent the replacement parts immediatley. What was really cool was that he floated them to me till I had the cash. Thanks Jim, you rule......
Jim's a fine fellow, alright. If you ever get him on the phone, be prepared for a stimulating ride and you'll likely hang up knowing a lot more about bass cabs than when you called!
I always like to hear stories about good CS, especially since I own 4 Bergi cabs (two HT322's, an HT210 and a HT115).
Anyone want to sell me a HT210 (500w) and HT115. Will negotiate trade with brand new Sadowsky Metro MV4. Of course these cabs must be in excellent condition.
Sorry Im not about to sell my 210/115 cabs but I just wanted to say that I think you are headed in the right direction!
After using my NV610 for a big string of gigs (pardon the pun!) I went back to my HT210/115 stack for a large xmas party. Wow, I was blown away... again! I love the punch of the NV610, and I also love the girth and rumble of the 210/115 stack... and my 210 is the 400-watter.
