I'm gonna buy a new rig.

I'll have about 1000eur and i need huge sound.

I was thinking of getting a Behringer set with the 300w amp and a 15" + 2x10" cab set

    Or should i get a 4x10" instead of a single 15"?

any other suggestions? both behringer and other

    (must be available in europe)

    Huge sound?

Howabout Peavey? Fairly cheap, loud as hell unfortunatly with a weight to match. Don't knock it till you've tried it. Their newer amps seem to be kicking the but of some high priced amps ive heard lately.

The Behringer cabs wont be available until the fall.
And who knows how they will sound.
I would get an Ashdown MAG rig from these guys: http://www.guitar24.de Best prices Ive found on Ashdown anywhere.

Dunno if the price is going to be the same in Belgium yet :(

    Ashdown MAG-300 + 210T cab.
English quality, crafted in China, low price, best bang for the buck.
    A very versatile amp.
The rig cost me 686 EUR, new.

You can also go used and get more bang for your money! There was a pristine Trace Elliot rig comprised of AH350SMX + 2*10"& tweeter + 1*15" cabs that went a few days ago for 950€ on Ebay.de I missed it :bawl: would have been a nice rig for my band's rehearsal room.

You'll get a better resale value if you don't like it, while on new you'll loose 50% or so. The Behringer Cabs remain to be heard, there is no feedback on them yet!

689€ for the Ashdown rig? Where in France did you do your shopping? That's a very good price!

Actually, I purchased in from an online shop in Germany.
The cost of 686 EUR included the shipment and COD fee !

    The detailed price is :

    head 369 EUR
    cab 255 EUR

And for an extra 289 EUR I still can get the 1x15" cab...

    Cheers,
    JL

    ok, i put together this:

    Behringer BX3000T
    Ashdown MAG 115
    Ashdown MAG 210T

All together with shipping (from Germany to Belgium) = 803EUR

    any suggestions?

Beware, the shipping cost they mention is not correct.
I had 10 EUR on the website, but they contacted me later to tell me that, because of weight, shipping would 38 EUR or so...

still a fair price but do any of u suggest other (equaly as price competitive) cabs?

i don't know if the Ashdowns are any good, i just that that since the behringer is an ashdown clone the MAG cabs might be good

Have a look at Hartke heads. Since Ashdown heads are no more available in this shop, as an alternative solution I'd probably choose a Hartke head over a Behringer.

You'll probably come close to the 1,000 EUR limit, but it's worth it, IMO.

Sorry I have no other stores links who carry Ashdown MAG in Europe... :(

I suggested Hartke over Behringer because Hartke has a much longer experience in bass amps, and while your first post stated you had 1000,- EUR, I was looking to help you gest the best out of this amount.

Maybe the Behringer amp is good, but I wouldn't buy it "blindfold". I did it with my Ashdown MAG and have no regrets at all.
