I'm looking for a good 6 string bass for metal that won't break the bank and would be decent for metal. Any help would be appreciated.
Ibanez BTB series. That is, if you buy new. You could order one from GuitarCenter by midnight for $850 with their online coupon. Used?? Plenty of great options.
You might take a look at Carvin. I don't play a ton of metal, but I have a Carvin LB76 that has quite a bit of growl (helped by my GK MB500) and sustains forever. It works quite well for the harder songs that I play. I picked it up here on TB for around $700. Good luck!
Gonna be hard to top the options and quality of a used Cirrus. I got a nice redwood fretted 6 for $899 a few years back.
Theres a 90s ZON legacy elite 6 string for $950 in one of the threads above this one.. I wish i can buy it
I have an Ibanez SR-506 and it's a great instrument for the money. Comfy neck and lots of usable tones. You can probably find a decent used one for under $500.
I've heard good things about the Spector Legend line. Stuart Spector Designs, LTD - Makers of fine electric and bass guitars: UNCOMPROMISING QUALITY | UNPARALLELED VERSATILITY | UNBELIEVABLE SOUND
