  1. I am on the shop for a new bass but i only have about $630 dollars total to spend on it. I was wondering if any of you have any recommendations on the best bass I can get for $630 dollars. I dont want an Ibanez tho, the last Ibanez I bought for $550 dollars has fallen apart now and ive only had it for about a year or two. your help would be preciated, THX.

  2. Best all around bass...

I think I'd have to say a used MIA P or J bass or an MTD Kingston.

MTD Kingston or a used Lakland Skyline.

  5. Yea A fender does sound nice. But What should I get a nice P-bass or a nice Jazz Bass? I am into Jazz and rock like Yes and Rush. Which one do you think would be the better choice for my style?

  6. I know I'm a broken record, but how about a slightly used MTD Heir? You should be able to get one with that kind of money. :D

Maybe a MIJ Fender Jazz Geddy Lee model? That is what I am GASing for at the moment.

  9. MTD Kingston 5 is definitely worth the shot, but the reports of it lacking in the low end may want you going Fender.

you wanna go with a fender(style), the jazz bass is better equip to match the veriance in tones then a p. you also don't have to buy a fender, just go with a fender style bass.
