Do they have a high 'C' string instead?

  5. Sorry Mudbass, but I cant play a 4 string these days, makes me feel naked.
My extensive trialling of B strings has come up with this list of the best ones, in my opinion:
    Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinky
    D'Addario Slowound
    D'Addario Prism
    Rotosound RB45 (nickel)
    Warwick Black Label
This list is not in any order. The tightest sounding of these would be the Prisms, which happens to be Nathan East's choice of string, I believe. To be fair, I have not tried every string on the market, but I have tried maybe 75%. (I manage a music store).

I would add DR's Lo Riders to the list, the hex core makes for a taut B string. YMMV, but I think they make an adequate B good, and a good B exceptional.
