I'm trying to get the most power and best sound I can for about $7-800, and probably used. I play stuff from indie rock to metal. I've been considering the Hartke 3500 and a 4-ohm 4x10 to go with it. What about the Peavey Firebass? Do you have any better suggestions?

Sansamp RBI + Used QSC poweramp + Avater 410.

Kills the Hartke rig in every respect.

I thought I'd add that I would play a 5-string Stingray through it. I'm not sure if that provides any ultra-valuable information or not.

used aguilar 210, ada mb-1 pre amp, personaly im on a carver pm600 but qsc are probably what you should look for. 210s are nice and portable and usually loud enough to play most small gigs, true you dont get as much head room, but if your want that you can get a 212 to go with it or just start with the 212.
