My main business room is a small powder room on the first floor. It's only about 5' square, so there's not much room. The toilet is pretty close to the wall and, obviously, it'll be played sitting down. I guess I'm looking for a short scale. The surfaces are pretty hard in there and, despite the hand towels and Mrs. SitDMC's propensity to use fluffy seat covers, I don't want to sacrifice tone though.

    Any recommendations?

And any tips on a good amp are appreciated.

You don't need an amp as long as one end of the bass is pressed firmly against the wall. Bathrooms have the best acoustics.

    Debates about throne tone commence.
  5. This one has a Music Man Bongo pickguard, but I think it'll do:

I would use whatever the bassist for Hellyeah uses
  7. I read that Looend basses are best for this stage!

My Danelectro is perfect. It's a Short-scale, so it's easy the move around. The.hollow masonite body is very resonant.

I'm just waiting for the post about the infamous "brown note".

My "business room" would require a Ubass, as I can soak my feet in the shower and spit in the sink brushing my teeth while taking the AM sit down.

I convert 4 string Rickenbackers to 5 string basses.

How about a bass suspended on a rope and pulley from the ceiling directly above the throne? You could get into position and then lower it down.
