best bass guitar strings

    best bass guitar strings that will last the lingest and have the best sound aka crisp and good for slapping

    If crisp and brittle is what you like... Ernie Ball Extra slinky (E=95). Have fun...

    Helpful hint ... you probably want to delete this post and ask the question in the Strings forum. Also, asking for "the best" really won't get you an answer you want.

    Regarding the long lasting part, I've used DR Lo Riders and they've lasted a LONG time. I bought another set to replace the stock Slinky's that are still on my two year old Stingray. I also think the Lo Riders sound great for slapping (like the package says , "Lo Riders love to funk!")

    The stock strings that came with my 55-02 also lasted the two years I had the bass and still sounded great when I sold it. They would have been Lakland's stock stainless steel strings, I think GHS makes them.
