I’ve been playing Elixir’s on my six string. They have a really sweet tone. But when I picked up my custom five, they came with dr Superbrights. They have a much denser tone. I want to find a mix of both the harsh and sweet. Suggestions?

You're not using particularly descriptive adjectives. I'm also not sure what you mean by DR super brights. Dunlop makes strings with that name or maybe you're talking about other DRs.

Sorry I meant sunbeams. Really tired today. I’m looking for something that has a sweet tone and is good for both solo composition and full band playing

What is a sweet tone? Can you post an example?

Doesn’t the answer have to be Rotosound Solo Bass? ;) Actually, the Rotosound Solo Bass 55 strings do fall into the “harsh and sweet” category.
