I don't recall exactly what they wanted for it ( early-mid 90's) but it was reasonable and I even had some money. I would guess they were asking 350-400 CAD.

I was rocking a BC Rich Rich Bich (the first Japanese NJ series). And gassing for a Gibson Victory Artist.

Up until recently I had three '83 basses, all Ibanez Roadstars: An RB820 (silver), RB720 (black) and RB620 (natural). I (reluctantly) sold the RB820 this week. Early 80's Roadstars are fantastic basses.

Umph! I had an RB924 as well, but I bought it cheap after they went out of fashion. I really wish they'd bring it back.

'83 was the year I bought my first "real" bass, a (new! zomg!) Washburn SB-40EQ. Three month's rent (zomg again). I can't imagine parting with it.

(Bit of a cheat here, since it's an '82, but hey - it's in the neighborhood at least.)

Let's get that GAS going with the best basses of '83. I've been watching a few 1983 Jazz Basses including a black one locally. I hear great things about the last of the Fullertons but haven't played one.

My 83 Fullerton Fiesta P! Almost sold this and came to my senses last min. I know I'll never find another like it. Amazing bass.
