Umph! I had an RB924 as well, but I bought it cheap after they went out of fashion. I really wish they'd bring it back.
Not my Birth year.Happens to be my birthday week which means there are some great basses turning 40 this year that have seen as much living as I have (and probably more playing).
Let's get that GAS going with the best basses of '83. I've been watching a few 1983 Jazz Basses including a black one locally. I hear great things about the last of the Fullertons but haven't played one.
Got an '83? Show it off. Sold an '83 you regret? Tell the tale. Got something I should buy right now (and risk divorce possibly…) let's see it.
I've been wondering how the early 80s Washburns are, I see them come up for not a ton of money'83 was the year I bought my first "real" bass, a (new! zomg!) Washburn SB-40EQ. Three month's rent (zomg again). I can't imagine parting with it.
(Bit of a cheat here, since it's an '82, but hey - it's in the neighborhood at least.)
