  1. I have decided to see what Black Sabbath is all about. Could you guys recommend me which album is worth listening/buying?

    Thanks

You only need the first five albums
Black Sabbath , Paranoid, Masters of Reality, Vol.4 and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. The last two ozzy albums are also good, as well as the Dio ones. But try those five first.

    Enjoy Sabbath, man. :bassist:

  3. I think you have to include Sabotage in that list. Its as good as all the ones you mentioned. A true Sabbath classic.

  5. yeah, I've been a Sabbath fan for a while, but I for some reason I didn't pick up Sabotage until about 6 months ago. Its been in my CD player pretty consistently for these past 6 months.

My favorite 6 Sabbath albums all with different singers.
    Mob Rules: DIO
    Heaven and Hell: DIO
    Eternal Idol: Ian Gillian
    Headless Cross: Tony Martin
    Technical Ecstasy: OZZY
    Volume 4: OZZY

  7. Paranoid.

  8. Paranoid blew me away when it first came out. Very Heavy. Good place to start.

  9. Paranoid.

    Every songs a keeper.

    Dio sucks.
His totally asinine 'real-life' personality bleeds over and obscures whatever talent he may have.

Yeah, Paranoid is probably the best way to start. But don't limit our friend to just one record. When i first got into sabbath. i started with one record, then the next months i devoured the rest of the Ozzy ones. I hope his experience ends up like mine, or the lot of us.

For me Sabbath was not only fun, but a learning experience.
