What's the best/most ergonomic bolt-on neck to heel transition you've seen?

    Assume a 34" scale, 4 string bass.

  2. I like how Ibanez was able to get a really smooth transition.

Interesting...that's the "All Access Neck Joint".

Apparently Ed Roman claims he invented it, but I don't see a trademak filed by either Ed or Ibanez.

Music Man has a nice neck heel on the Silhouette:

I wonder why more instruments don't have this feature?

    +1 on the Spector

I like the heel of a bolt-on bass, made by a dutch luthier : De Gier Origin

A bit the same like the Spector Rebop, but it's good :p

    +1, on the Fbass BN5.

And I've got an older VF5 with the same heel.

The Carvin SB4/5000 is cut away pretty well, on the G-string side.

Chris Stambaugh generally builds very comfy neck heels.

The Lakland 4-94 is rather abrupt, but feels very comfortable.
