I just picked up a Peavey Musicians Mark III, and im really happy with the tone and volume, and the $125 price tag! Im using our guitarists 15 inch cabinet, which we dont know much about. It's apparently custom made, and im pretty sure its 8 Ohms. I want to know what i should buy to get a 4 Ohm load, as this amp is optimized for one. This presents a dilema, because i want full power, but a 1x15 is working just fine right now. Then again, im in a high-school punk band who isnt gonna be playing any stadiums soon. Any advice for cabinet setups to look at down the road? thanks.
  2. I stopped by a local club, I believe the band's bassist was using the same head you mentioned. His cab was an Ampeg 4x10 (don't know which model... but I think it was a BSE-410hlf).

As I walked past the front of the stage, I entered the bass amp zone.

    The thing sounded HUGE!!!
