Well xmas is coming up and I've decided now would be a good time to start my pedal collection I plan on getting around 4-5 pedals and I dont want lots of trailing cables by using 1ft leads for connecting the pedals. Can anyone recommend me some short leads for connecting the pedals (some have outputs on top some on the side) that are long lasting and dont sap my signal/tone. Thanks
I have a set up of 6 pedals and connect them all together with planet waves patch cables. You can get them here. They aren't the cheapest on the market but in my experience they don't interfere with tone and are only 6 inches long so, given my lack of space, totally remove the problem of tripping over leads all the time. You can get cheaper, www.gak.co.uk and www.stringsdirect.com have a good selection.
I've found venom cables to be great, the little 6" ones for connecting. I'm about to make the move to George L's.
anyone tries the new planet waves solderless cables?... U buy a pack with a long peice of cable, several jacks and apparently u just cut the cable to desired length, push the jack onto it and screw it in a little bit ( or something like that ).
Yes, I bought a package of these for my pedalboard. The package comes with a little cable cutting tool, 10' of cable, and 10 ends. Enough to make 5 2' cables, or any other combination of lenths totalling to 10'. I used about half of the cable provided, if that, and 8 of the connectors. I compared the pricing of this to a similar setup with George L's, and this was less expensive, but (in my opinion) a bit nicer. Lifetime warranty still applies from Planet Waves too, as far as I know.
