I dunno where else it might OT it is.

anyway, I often find myself needing certain CDs or pieces of them on my computer, for a few reasons. One of which, is sometimes needing to get off my lazy a$$ to get my CD case, or to make compilations and whatnot. so I ask, what is the best [free and downloadable preferably] CD recorder to get the songs onto the 'puter? I have owned MusicMatch, which didn't work very well for that purpose, and Nero, the only other thing I have that I could use, only goes up to 96 kbps, which is pretty $h!++y IMO. I need something that will fetch at the very least least, 128, preferably more.

suggestions? maybe a link to a site I could use?

  3. Nero, Discjuggler or Alcohol.

Alcohol is particularly excellent as it allows you to mount ISO images on your hard disk as as if they were physical volumes.
  4. I'll second that, and recommend AudioActive Production Studio, if you want really hq mp3's made easy, rips and compresses.

    thanks for the suggestions.

I downloaded CDex but when I open it, the options for extracting CD tracks aren't available....
