Price is irrelevant, although I know it can make a big difference.

I havent had too much fretless experiance. Only really some mediocare Fenders/Deans.

Played some Old Ernie Balls that my teacher has, and I beleive I also tried out a Roscoe Fretless.

But my favorite so far, goes, surprisingly to.

The 4 String Warwick Corvette Standard.

The BEST sounding fretless, and best playing I have ever layed hands on.

What are your personal favorites? :)

I think it's been done before....

I like a plain old fretless jazz.
I remember playing a old (modded?) MM(copy? can't remember) fretless, it sounded NICE.

Here's what I've come up with. Price range new, from about $1600 to about $4k.

The best I have ever played is my Zon Sonus Custom.

I have played a lot of fine fretlesses. I have not had the good fortune to play an F Bass, Roscoe or Sadwosky fretless yet. But this one beats all the rest IMHO.

  9. Pete Hanewinckel ( http://www.hguitars.com/ ) is very proud of his fretless basses. Here's one I bought from him:

I still think Keith puts out a really good bass with a price tag that is just this side of being out in the stratosphere. Best working fretless I've owned. I would love to own a BNFL6, but at ~$1K less, I'm having no issues playing my Roscoe!:D

All of 'em. As of 4:30pm EST I officially hate fretless.

    When can you come by?
