I just bought myself a Game Boy Advance, it's like having a mobile Super Nintendo. It is also the cheapest. So unless you already have a GBA I recommend you buy it. Of course you would have to share it with your sister... you could always buy two though. ;)

My son got a PSOne with LCD display for portability... seems pretty nice.

Haven't seen a good "Pong" game on it though;)

  7. I would still vote for the Playstation 2. Great games. Xbox is just another step in Bill Gate's plan to take over the world.:D I can't get enough of Gran Turismo 3. Gamecube looks neat though...

How is one supposed to know if XBox and Gamecube are any good when they're not released yet?

Give it a couple of years, so we'll see which console has the best games. THEN I'll vote!

NES & SNES will forever have a place in my heart, though. [IMG]

The Sinclair Spectrum. Great machine - if you don't like your games, you can write your own. Hours of fun!

Got the PSOne at a pawnshop for $49 and found the LCD on eBay, new, with a car adapter for $90. Not a bad setup... fun for the whole family. Kind to animals. Void where prohibited.

  16. cool. i got my LCD because the tv i used broke, and so i had to buy it before the sony version came out. it's a little bulky, but its good. i'm just waitng for the best rechargable battery pack.

Just teasing ya. I think that the best new console is the Supa-Jumbo-Box, by Nipotech Electronics Ltd., which is to be released sometime in 2132. ;)

Amen to that! I started on a NES, which I don't have and don't have access to anymore, then I bought a SNES when they first came out. I STILL get that thing out about once every six months and play it. Shame they stopped makin' games for it though:(

I started out on a Texas Instruments minicomputer (no, it wasn't small).

I really miss text based games

"You are in a grotto. To the East is a small furry man. To the South is an oak tree. Above you is ..."

    Did I mention Tic-tac-toe?

    Ahhh, technology;)
