I know this topic has been broached at various times (though in searching the site, I can't seem to find an answer that satisfies me ... though maybe it's me ) ....but ... What is the 'best', money-not-an-object bass carrying case. I'm interested in the following: 1. lightweight, easy portability (are wheels good or bad?) 2. ATA flight cert a plus 3. potential for molded / self-molding the padding (how do you do this well?) 4. protection, especially should I actually decide to check this on a flight or (horrors) a Chinese train 5. decent looking I recall a reference to some Canadian firm that made blue, 'safe' type cases that seemed pretty good, but couldn't find the reference again. Thanks... this site is a great resource for someone new to the bass playing community
If money is no object then you can't really go wrong with either anvil cases or Calzone Cases neither will be cheap or light but they will definitely protect your bass in any situation
