"Unleashed in the East" or "Sad Wings of Destany" are tops for me. "Sin after Sin" and "Screaming for Vengence" got replaced too when I went from Vinyl to CD

Killer version of Victim of Changes.

Also guys what do you think of the Ripper?

He can't even replace Barlow, replacing Halford is like toppling a mountain.

:) Halford IS Priest. Sure KK & Glen are up front... but Rob is the MAN!

my fav from the disc are "The Green Manalishi" & "Diamonds and Rust"

    both cover tunes :)

Victim of changes and the ripper are cool too though

Halford is the man, but the Ripper is good. I like him better in Iced Earth than JP though. I think he's good for I.E, Barlow quit anyway.

Tough to pick one. Hell Bent For Leather and Sin after Sin are currently my favorites. Sad Wings is right up there.

I've also got a soft spot for Point of Entry (really...pop-metal or not, I like that album....what's everyone looking at me like that for? :) )

  12. It's hard to pick one favorite since the band changed so much over the years so I will answer with three favorites:

    Sad Wings of Destiny
    Hell Bent for Leather
    Screaming for Vengeance

I'm still digesting Painkiller. My guitarist brought that CD to our rehearsal the same time I did. It was pretty funny. The lyrics and chord changes seem a bit ordinary or contrived but the playing is excellent. I'll have to listen to it some more to be sure what I think of it.

Has anybody picked up that JP Metology box set? Includes a kick-ass DVD of a 90 minute Screaming for Vengeance tour concert. That's the main reason I bought the set. Also, they are now selling a box which you can put all your remasters in. It comes with four CD's. Painkiller, British Steel, Screaming, and Sin after Sin. I already had British Steel and Screaming remasters so if anybody wants those, let me know. $14 for both of them.

I'm trying to get my band to do a DMB meets Phish version of Desert Plains
    :bassist:

I've been known to do a spoof of "the sentinal" on bass as well :)

I'm not saying that the Ripper disc is bad,but without Barlow,Iced Earth is not Iced Earth.

  15. How am I the only one yet to reply w/ Stained Class as my fav? To me that's Halford's best singing!
