Although, I still think it's funny they call it a "reissue" when it's something that wasn't really produced in the first place. :D

I like my MIA 75 reissue in sunburst with black blocks, and maple fretboard--of course, that is something else that is rare, at best, in a 75 Jazz. Most of them have the pearl blocks.

I just picked up "The Fender Bass- An Illustrated History." There is a picture of two custom 1970 Jazz basses, both with maple fretless fingerboards. One in LPB with matching headstock, and the other is Candy Apple Red with matching headstock.

Funny....I didn't even know I wanted a fretless jazz with a maple board. I'll scan the pic and post it sometime this weekend. You'll love it. It's a way of life. :D

Thank you, sir. You haven't seen it since I took a little more of the gloss off the back of the neck. Still sealed, but smooooooth......

I forget--did it have the Fralins when you saw it?
