Best LP Style Bass?

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by deathbloomslife, Aug 4, 2005.

  1. I'm a fan of the LP body style, and have just been looking around at production basses, and cannot decide on which one would be better overall, in quality, sound, and playability. The basses I've been looking at are the ESP Eclipse 404 and the Epiphone Vince Hornsby.

Any experience with Les Paul styled basses?

The old gibsons are pretty cool, and cheap if you can find them used. Some even came with bartolini pickups. They sound good: dark and thick.

I had an Epiphone Les Paul Standard for a while. It was a great bass. I can't vouch for the ESP models, but the Epis are definitely worth the coin.
