Can someone list a few reputable online stores that have LOTS of bass effects in stock?
http://www.samash.com - pretty good. They have green Big Muffs supposedly. We'll see when mine arrives
http://www.musiciandfriend.com - probably the best for the non-boutique and they have samples of pedals as long as you have realplayer installed.
I have been satisfied by: www.music123.com - www.americanmusical.com - and www.musiciansfriend.com -
All have comparable prices, and large selections. I also believe that they all have flexible return policies should you not be happy with your order.
www.elderly.com - I buy all of my guitars and basses from these guys exclusively. They have great prices and selection, and they deal with boutique effects too. I would advise visiting their website to request a catalog, as I haven't seen many effects posted on there. This should have been my number one recommendation....(sorry guys).
Great shop. Lots of choice, quick on emails and delivery, good advices, ships international and takes Paypal. It's also nice to avoid big chains whenever you can.
I can't speak to their reputation, but www.musictoyz.com appears to be an extremely comprehensive online store.
they are. Just call first to confirm stock before placing an order, their online stock indicators are useless
aNaLoG.MaN for boutique and vintage effects!
I've had fantastic service and prices from:
Both domestically and internationally.
though ive never used them, if you are shopping around for effect ideas - pedalgeek.com
www.musiccenterinc.com is the best place to buy. They are cheaper in price than any music store around. You have to call them, but they are great people to work with. You can get their number off the website. Ask for Tom.
Check 'em out...you'll see
can't believe I forgot pedalgeek.com, great prices and Dan there gives great service. That's actually my first stop when I'm looking for something.
I'll third pedalgeek.com
Great prices and great customer service! Dan is more than willing to answer all your questions, before and after a purchase.
I've used them a couple of times, had both excellent service and extremely poor service from them.
That said, I'd probably use them again.
Awesome, thanks!! PedalGeek has some cool gear for sure!!
for all of those that havent been there yet, i urge you to check out www.tonefactor.com ...
this place specialises in retailing boutique/handmade effects from some lesser known makers. if you are into exploring different/rarer brand effects, have a look around here.
brad, the guy who runs it, is also very helpful.
Try Bass Central, they have all the good stuff!
i second that suggestions for juniors music, i swear there is somene there 24 hours a day, i called there at 11 oclock on a sunday trying to get an answering machine to get their business hours and the dude answered the phone! he answered all my questions and took my order too!
now thats fricken customer service
