Because Photobucket has chosen to in effect "take down" everyone's photos (unless you pay them), we have extended post edit time in the Luthier's Corner to UNLIMITED.  If you used photobucket and happen to still have your images of builds, you can go back and fix as many of your posts as far back as you wish.

    Hello.
As far as I have seen, the Hot Shot spoke wheel dual truss rod from Stew-Mac seems like the ideal.
My concerns are for strength, durability, and ergonomics;least worried about bright tone, weight,or cost.
I did a search and have scanned for comparable alternatives with no apparent stand outs.
I'm planning to send a truss rod to USA Custom to assemble the neck,if I can trump the design they offer.
    Suggestions and advice welcome.
    Thank you.

  2. why NOT get the hot rod from Stew Mac? It's pretty great. Don't wory about durability. It's more than capable, and they're wicked cheap money.

Just tossing it out there.I figure I may have missed something in my searches.
    Building a bass like an old Lee-Enfield MKIII;It's just a hang-up.
    Thanks.
