I am looking for a six stringer, but i dont know what would be the best choice, i was looking under 1g someone is selling me a warwick thumb BO for 1400 in good shape, please let me know! :help:

  2. Well your thread title and a bass in the sub 1K area don't really go hand-in-hand. If you can find the best bass for you for under a grand then that's great. But most would consider the best six on the market to be far and above that price point.

  3. Under a grand? I'd say either one of the Ibanez BTB prestige series basses, or perhaps a Peavey Cirrus. I think you could find either used for under a grand, if not under then not more than 100 or 200 more. If you're willing to spend a grand, whats a couple hundred more?

I dont really like Warwicks but if thats your thing spring the extra cash for it. They seem to have a good following.

Sub 1k, the Ibanez's as mentioned are better than most I've played, but I can't say I'm a fan either....

A Prestige SR... you can likely talk it down to sub-1000.

BTB's aren't my cup of tea.

+1 on the Tune Bass. Quality 6 string for under 700 hundred. I should know.

  10. Make sure he lets you play it first: warwick + 6 sting = heeaaavvy.

I'm leaning toward the Tune for my first 6 in a month or so.

I've had most of 'em in that price range and the best hands down to me would be the TUNE TWB63, it edges the BTB out by a lil' bit.

Really nice bass! I've got one and for that price, I think it's the best choice. But be sure you like wide necks ;-)
