Hey I need a small amp (around 15 watts would be ok) for playing in the bedroom, no gigs or anything, I just need something small and cheap that will sound ok, nothing great but not horrible.... basically so I can just hear myself play. Any ideas?

How much money are you spending? The Peavey Microbass is probably the best sounding small amp under $200.

    2nd vote for Peavey MicroBass.

  6. Ashdown has a great little 30 watt practice amp called the Perfect 10 which lists for $199. Very good tone. I don't care for the 8 or 15 in that series though.

Being a GK employee, I should also mention the 70 watt Backline 110 which lists for $349, but I think it's more in price and power than what you're looking for.

The Trace Elliot Boxer 15 and 30 sound great. Especially the 30. Nice, small amps.
