I am thinking about replacing the speakers that came with my G-K 2-10 and 1-15 cabinet. I am running the Backline 600 amp with them. I am not liking the sound that is coming out of them.

Does anybody have any suggestions as to what kinda of speakers to use as replacements!!

Also, the band I'm currently in is country. Not the twangy country, but the new "Top-40" country. I could use some advice on how to set my amp to sound great.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

  2. if you describe what the current speakers dont do well we could guide you to something that is more suited to you. there is no best speaker. the other problem is matching the speakers in the cabinet. may be worth just getting new cabinets, as speakers themselves arent much cheaper, especially when you are looking for a certain one, adn not shopping around for deals.

Not worth replacing them unless the specs of your cab will benefit the speaker and vice versa. You'd be better off buying something like an Avatar cab brand new at that point.

  4. Sell them and buy something you like. It may be that you don't like the way the speakers sound in the cab and not the way the speakers in the cab sound.
