I am planning to change the pickup on my stingray... So, what pickup brand would you recommend? Bartolini, Seymour Duncan or Dimarzio? Or something else propably?

I don't have a Music Man anymore, but the Barts seem to have a really good reputation. Try www.harmony-central.com - I think there are some reviews there.

Seymoure Duncan makes a replacement that is supposed to be pretty good. I have heard that it is more balanced. Modulus (sp?) uses them in their Flea Bass. Flea is the Red hot Chili Peppers bassman.

  4. Don't think anybody's still reading this thread, but I swapped mine for a Seymour Duncan and I really liked the definition it has per string. Still the Stingray's original pickup just had a little something...
