Best Strings?

    hey yall,
    im gettin a new Fender from a shop, and i can select any strings on my new Fander Lyte. i was wondering what the best selection would be?

    You might want flats. Thomastik-Infelds with the tone knob rolled off can get a nice thump, but with the tone knob up and plucked aggressively, they've got growl and grind to spare. Totally unique for flatwounds -- most you'll see are just varying degrees of thumpy deadness, but Thomastiks are in a class all by themselves.

    i definately recomend TI flats. they are the best flats out there, no contest.

    Yup, very true. I was worried they wouldn't give me the grind I wanted, but they delivered. Great strings, if you think you might like them, you probably will. Warm but not dull. Apparently they last forever and sound better with age too. When I first put them on I thought they sounded okay, but in a few days; wow.
