Planning to do a Warmoth J body in a natural finish... which stains, varnishes, lacquers, eurythanes work best?

I dig oil finish. You can rub it on by hand, it's low tech, easy and inexpensive, but mostly I like it for it's natural look and feel, it's nice to feel the wood and have some "traction" around the pick-up area. If you search around the Luthier's Corner I am sure you will find ton's of info!
