Best wah and distortion?

  1. Not a combination just seperate. Who in your opinions has the best sounding/reacting bass wah or distortion? I'm looking for that big Meshuggah distortion, and you know, that wah sound.

    Best wah for bass? Teese RMC3, without a doubt. 9 octaves of selectable sweep range; you should be able to find your sound with that (I did).

    As for Meshuggah distortion.... that's tough. Most of the low end on Meshuggah disks come from the guitars and kick drum; bass is just there for colour. If you want to keep your low end, check out a Boogie V-Twin pedal, or perhaps a Prescription Electronics Depth Charge. Or you could just get a BassTriaxis like I did and end all arguement.

    And I do listen to King Crimson. Alot.
