What's everyone's opinion on the best way to store a bass when it's not being played? In the case? Hanging on a wall (like at the stores)? On a stand?

I think the main thing is to have it in a climate controlled room and have it tuned too pitch.
  3. Keeping it in a hardcase would ensure that the general climate stays the same. And any changes would come very gradually.
  4. i just leave mine in my room, on my stand. my room is standard temperature, and is not to moist, so its ok there.

My basses are all in flight cases living under various beds around the continent. The casses give great protection against accidents and climate.
