Bevavente 219 5 str bass....

    I've heard little about this guy, but someone one of these used for 965.00. Is that a good deal?

    I've seen the one that you're talking about. It appears to be an older 219. I'm sure it's worth the investment. It could be a steal at that price.

    Yea, thats an old Benavente, it even pre-dates me :D

    LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS of changes since that bass was born but at the under a grand price, not bad. It could easily be upgraded with pickups and preamp if you wanted to update it. Even just the preamp would bring it to another level. Its a nice looking bass, probably built in the 97-98 era when Chris was just getting things going and building on the side.

    Neck probably has a little rounder feel, more vintage like. String spacing is in the 17mm range with the old schaller bridge.

    Good buy though........
