BGF Fretted/Less - half fretted/fretless bass

    these basses are fretted up until the 12th fret, but after that the fretboard is elevated to the same height as the frets and is fretless. very innovative!

    Not really my cup of tea from what i can judge by the soundfiles/specs/price. I'm not really sure if i could spend $5k on one bass (well, Double Basses aside.) I could get 2 hanewinckels (fretted and fretless, or a double neck) for much less than the $5k and have comparable/better options, and i doubt there could be any better quality.
