My small rig of doom is a GK MB250 + a GK NEO112. I'm interested in replacing or augmenting it with TC stuff. The BH250 is $299. For $100 more, the BG250 gives you a nice 15" + tweeter cab AND more control knobs. Is there a reason to choose the BH250 over the BG250?
The combo with the 15 cannot be added onto with another cab. With the head, you can use any number of different/bigger spkr cabs.
I was using my tiny Markbass F1 head with my single GB NeoX 112T cab for rehearsals, a couple small gigs. Worked great. But I wanted a all in one combo for those same situations. The BG250 offered me that. Built in tuner, effects (dont use alot of that), cab and head in one. So now dont need to seperately carry the small F1 head or load gigbag with tuner, cables, pedal(s), if needed one. I stick the power cable, inst cable in my bass gigbag and grab the BG250 and walk. And I can load it into the backseat floor area of my truck or SUV. One hand it into and back out of practice/gig area at only 32lbs. so easy to heft. It just works for me for those uses so well. So much so, that I used the extra load time I had left over to help drummer break down his kit at this past Saturday's gig........hey wait a minute; that aint good. Oh and now the recall on BH250 makes me like BG combo better.
